No BS ingredients

Additives are used in many commercial supplements to speed up the manufacturing process, prolong shelf life, or enhance appearance or flavor. At Trutyna, we believe that only necessary ingredients should be present in our supplements. We do not use any of the following junk ingredients:

  • Many supplements use artificial colors to make them look more attractive. Even though artificial colors are permitted by the FDA, we believe that they are unnecessary, may be harmful, and have no place in our products.

  • Derived from pork or beef byproducts, gelatin is commonly used to create capsules used to manufacture many supplements. Trutyna uses only vegetarian capsules (veggie caps) that are made of hypromellose, a plant-derived cellulose that is suitable for people who prefer to avoid animal products.

  • Some supplements contain gluten, which is sometimes found in inactive ingredients or added during manufacturing. We do not add gluten to our products. In fact, Trutyna products are tested to ensure that they are gluten-free.

  • We believe that high-fructose corn syrup is an unnecessary additive that adds worthless calories at best and triggers inflammation in the body at worst.

  • Some supplements use lactose as a filler or diluent. We do not use lactose in our products. In fact, our products are tested to ensure that they are lactose free.

  • We believe that it is better for our products not to contain any sweeteners because many of these products do not have clear safety data and may cause adverse health effects. Even “natural” sweeteners like xylitol and erythritol are associated with negative health consequences.

  • Many supplements contain soy constituents as inactive ingredients or excipients. Soy lecithin is often used as an emulsifier (to mix fat- and water-soluble ingredients) or filler. Soybean oil is also used as an excipient in some products. Trutyna products are tested to ensure they are soy-free and safe for those who may be allergic to it.

  • Talc (magnesium silicate) is used in many foods, cosmetics and supplements but because of the lack of clear safety data, we believe that it should not be used in our products.

  • Titanium dioxide is often used as a whitening product in supplements to give it bright color. Its use as a food pigment is banned in Europe because it can accumulate in the body and lead to DNA damage. Titanium dioxide has absolutely no place in our products.

  • Trans fats (hydrogenated oils) are synthetic fats that is extremely detrimental to human health and have absolutely no place in our products. The FDA considers hydrogenated oils as unsafe for human consumption.
